clean up two storerooms
Description
The key
Childline projects all link to form a basket of services that are able to meet
the needs of children in a comprehensive manner. The organisation’s community
awareness and prevention project offers prevention and teaches children the
toll-free number of the organisation’s crisis line. The volunteers on the crisis
line ensure that every child’s story is heard and where necessary protection
services are requested. The face-to-face counselling project offers long-term
support whilst the Sunlight Safe House provides short-term foster care for
children when their home circumstances are not conducive to their rights.
Volunteers disposed of rubbish and sorted the current stock. Appropriate labels
for easy identification of items were written, and existing shelves were fixed
and new shelving installed. By clearing out the store room, more space was
created to store all the children’s clothing, bedding, food, nappies,
stationery, etc.
The
beneficiaries of this project are all the children that Childline assists.
