kalkfontein crèche and pre-school

The Indigo Social Investment committee have identified a dire need for the establishment of a crèche and pre-school facility in the impoverished area of Kalkfontein on the Cape Flats. Working parents in this area currently drop off their young children at a crèche operating in the back yard of a local home each morning, whilst other children are left unattended or in the care of an unemployed youngster.

Funding to the value of R422,000 to build a crèche will offer some 90 children new hope. The crèche is currently under construction.
